E-LEARNING

The Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri in response to the challenges faced by undergraduates especially around poor lecturer to student ratio and over- crowding of lecturer theatres is about to deploy an e-learning platform within the campus. E-learning can be described as using technologies to deliver a broad array of solutions that enhance knowledge and performance.
The e-learning solution at FPNO will be available within the school’s ICT facilities and tightly integrated into Microsoft Office365 Email and Oracle Database Platform.
By partnering with Technology giants (Oracle and Microsoft) to deliver e-learning to students, FPNO will  accomplish the following:

• Empower students to Learn at their own pace.
• Reduce learning time.
• Students can revise a topic as many times, fast or slow, until it is understood.
• Reduce problemsrelated to in-classroom teaching.
• Encourage students to develop skills and confidence in handling difficult tasks and problem solving.
