God is faithful and just to us and will grant us a new life. There shall be resurrection back to the glory of God. The venerable pointed out that we are here to rededicate our life, our offices and our work back to God and nobody will be passed by as the angel of God move round. There will be peace, restoration, promotion, prosperity in Jesus Christ name.

The Homily: Ven. Nkemdirim informed the staff that the Rector converged the school for the prayer and the theme of the prayer session is “Beginning with God”. There is need for every community, churches, clans, hamlets and other devotional churches to gather together for a New Year service. Continuing he said that there is need for re-dedication of our life to God and the essence of beginning with God cannot be over emphasized. He advised the audience to meditate on the readings and to reconnect and acknowledged God’s mercy. He pointed that it is not by our carefulness, and measure of sensitivity that God kept us alive today, further more he pointed out that it is high time we imbibe the truth that we don’t control our lives, and action but we have to acknowledge God and surrender all our begin to him.
He warned against people making New Year resolution by the first of January only to break it before January ending. Venerable restricted the need to depend on God and not to look up to the government and man. He noted the killings, economic recession, kidnapping and other negative vices bordering our county Nigeria. He vehemently advised that we should not think of these evil but anchor our hope and survival in God. God is the true rescuer and for us to stop trusting in man, and God will not disappoint us.
He closed the Homily with the affirmation that we shall be children of favour this year. After the Homily Pastor Bliss offered prayer for the management, staff and students.
Highlighted at the occasion was a melodious entertainment by the school band which everybody danced to.
